Rocksteady Studios is a united kingdom based company that has been getting a lot of respect ever since they started the Batman Arkham series. With only 164 workers and have made  5 games since they were founded in 2004 by Sefton Hill, Jamie Walker  & James Simon Williams.
Rocksteady used to be owned by Square Enix a long time ago but is more known to be owned by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment. Warner Brothers would purchase it in 2010 but,   Square Enix Europe (formerly Eidos Interactive) still holds 25.1 percent share of Rocksteady.
In 2006 they would release their first game ” Urban Chaos: Riot Response” A first-person shooter which released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Rocksteady first ever release only got average ratings from critics and gamers around the world.
In 2009 it would be the year that it changed everything for Rocksteady Studios. They would release the first game of the Batman Arkham series as they released “Batman Arkham Asylum”. Batman Arkham Asylum released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 25, 2009, and later would release September 15th, 2009 on PC.
Batman Arkham Asylum was very well reviewed as many people gave it 9 out of 10 and even some giving it a 9.5 out of 10. At the 2009 Spike Video Game Awards, Rocksteady Studios won Studio of the Year, while the game received nominations for Best Action Adventure Game, Best Graphics, Best Voice for Hamill and Sorkin, respectively, Best Xbox 360 Game, and Game of the Year.
in 2011 Rocksteady Studios would release the second game of the Arkham series as they would release “Batman Arkham City” Batman Arkham City was released on October 18th, 2011 on PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360 with a PC release coming on November 18th, 2009.
Batman Arkham City took the world building that Arkham Asylum did, but in this game, they added a way bigger map ( Not open world but big). Batman Arkham City was reviewed as the best game of the series as most critics gave it a 10 out of 10.
Batman: Arkham City won multiple awards at the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards including Character of the Year (Joker), Best Xbox 360 Game, Best Action Adventure Game, and Best Adapted Video Game; and received nominations for: Best Original Score, Best Graphics, Best Performance by a Human Female (Tara Strong), Best Performance by a Human Male (Mark Hamill), Trailer of the Year (Hugo Strange Reveal Trailer), Studio of the Year (Rocksteady), and Game of the Year.
in 2015 Rocksteady Studios Released Batman Arkham Knight which would be the only Batman game to be an open world game with a huge map and even debuted the first appearance of the legendary Batmobile. Batman: Arkham Knight was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows on June 23, 2015.
Even with the open world and the Batmobile, it did not live up to the standards, Batman Arkham Knight got the worst reviews of all 3 games as most critics gave it 7 out of 10 stars. But it was the most hyped and best selling game of the series and it was the best selling game of June 2015 and the fastest selling game of 2015.
Batman: Arkham Knight received Game Informer’s award for Best Action Game seen at E3 2014 in June 2014. It also received IGN’s Best Xbox One Game for their E3 2014 awards, while becoming runner-up for Game of Show and Best PlayStation 4 Game. The 2014 Game Critics Awards awarded Arkham Knight as the Best Action/Adventure Game. 
The last game to the Rocksteady Studios name was Batman VR which released on PlayStation 4 on October 11th, 2016 and released on PC on April 2nd, 2017. It was the biggest selling VR game in Europe in 2017 but was also voted one of the worst games of 2016. It was more or less a demo on what the PSVR could do and with it being early in the PSVR lifespan it was a pretty terrible experience.
Since 2009 Rocksteady Studios has been synonymous with Batman in video games. We heard in 2016 that they are working on a new game which most think it could be the last Batman game of the series to finish it off or a Superman game possibly in the works. We have no details but if they started in 2016 I suppose we should hear something by early 2020.
Rocksteady Studios is one of the most respected game companies but we have not seen anything from them since  Batman Arkham Knight. There has been rumors of either a Batman Beyond Or Superman release and either will do good as i just want to see a new release from this great company.  With Spiderman releasing this year it would be cool to see a DC counterpart in 2019 or 2020 but we will see.

My Experience With MLB The Show 19

As a sports enthusiast, I always get excited when the release of a new sport comes out. MLB The Show is the first sports video game release of the year, I spent 3 days with the game and have tried every mode that the game offers. This is not a review of the game just an everyday normal guy having an experience. After the game finished downloaded ( which takes forever these days), I went through the typical tutorials which have not changed from last year. Finished that and got my settings and controller figured out so I jump into an exhibition, as a Cubs fan I choose them and face off against the defending champs the Boston Red Sox. The gameplay has changed a small bit to a point where you feel the changes but until hour 6 I couldn’t tell you what those improvements were. The fielding felt smoother, The batting stances were way more accurate than they have been in recent years. The pitching had not changed at all which I love because I felt the pitching was as good as it could
